Community Interest Company · Registered in England
We support creativity at two levels: open-access community learning for people who want to create, and practical studio-based development for emerging artists ready to make professional work.
Our Mission
Mission Statement
CBLV Community CIC exists to make creativity more accessible, supportive, and transformative. We help participants build confidence, develop skills, form meaningful relationships, and access professional creative resources that may otherwise be out of reach.
We began as an inclusive online creative community hosted through Discord. Our in-person artist development activity is delivered through a mix of creative spaces, collaborators, and studio access opportunities — including La Vie Studio in Cheltenham.
Our work runs across two connected strands — both rooted in the same belief that creative access changes lives.
A free, inclusive digital space where members take part in live workshops, share work, receive feedback, and build confidence — whatever their background, location, or ability to pay.
Our Discord acts as a digital creative campus: live sessions, galleries, forums, feedback channels, and community-led activity for people aged 14+.
We support emerging artists with access to professional creative resources that are often financially out of reach — including recording, songwriting, filming, mentoring, and production support.
Some of this work is delivered through partner spaces and creative infrastructure, including La Vie Studio in Cheltenham. These opportunities help artists produce tangible work for releases, pitching, BBC Introducing, funding applications, and beyond.

How & Where We Operate
Our hybrid model means we can reach anyone — wherever they are, whatever their situation. Online community activity makes us accessible to people regardless of location, income, or confidence. In-person studio sessions give selected artists access to professional creative environments.
Simply put: we exist online as an inclusive creative community, and in person through studio-based access projects delivered with partner spaces and creatives across the UK.
Everything we do is shaped by nine core commitments — each one a direct response to the barriers that stop people from creating, connecting, and developing as artists.
Free or affordable opportunities in music, art, writing, language, and digital media — for anyone who wants to take part.
A safe, welcoming online space where people can connect, share, learn, and feel part of a supportive creative environment.
Help participants grow through workshops, feedback, collaboration, mentoring, and peer-led learning.
Recording sessions, music video support, songwriting camps, and filmed live sessions that help musicians create professional work.
Give artists access to studio time, production support, filming, and mentoring that they may not otherwise be able to afford.
Support participants to produce real creative work: songs, recordings, videos, live sessions, artwork, writing, and digital media.
Help artists develop assets for releases, funding, BBC Introducing, sync, live bookings, press, and industry outreach.
Where funding allows, pay artists, facilitators, producers, and mentors for their work — not just their goodwill.
Combine online community, peer learning, studio access, and artist development in a way that grows sustainably over time.
